The sights and ground we covered would have taken days by car. And what we saw from the sky was incomprehensible from the ground ... vast wilderness, a lava field (still warm, we were told), volcanic craters, an airstrip built by NASA in the highland moon-like landscape, and more. Photos would not do the experience justice.
